Cathodic Protection Basic

The term of Cathodic Protection was introduced by Sir Humphrey Davy in the 1820s, while iron and zinc is utilised to protect the copper alloy in sea water.  The methodology is further developed in United States in 1940s to protect the thin-walled high pressure buried oil and gas transmission pipeline.
